NPR / Maine Public: Mainers Are Working To Give Historical Sea Chanties New Life
Ari Snider of Maine Public came out in spring 2019 to talk about sea shanties: where they came from, why they fell out of use on the working waterfront, and what we were doing with The Mighty Worksong Community Chorus to bring them back to life.
The piece ran on Maine Public and was syndicated through New England Public Media, WBUR, and other NPR stations in the region. It was a radio segment first, so the audio is the main event.
