I wrote this after watching an incredible sunrise mirrored in water-covered ice.

As above and so below
We mirror heaven, waiting
For it to fall down from the sky
The present understated

Now the sun between the clouds
High above where crows sit
Betrays the worried funeral crowd
Reflecting life, it shows it.

Verse 2

Honk of geese, the wings of swans
The duck the crow, we hear it
The coming of the icy dawn
We wake to go and see it

Verse 3

Bitter biting winter wind,
The knife on water frozen
Begin again, again begin
Another moment chosen
